Our schemes work with the conditions of the site — the shade cast by London terraces, exposed roof terraces, dry soil under boundary walls — and choose resilient plants that will cope.
In our own projects that has meant ferns nestled in the shadiest corners, the lime-green flowers of Helleborus argutifolius in spring, star jasmine scenting the air in summer, pheasant's tail grass and bearded iris for movement, and Aster 'Little Carlow' with bleached grasses and allium seed heads to carry the garden into autumn.
Planting is supplied and installed by the same team that builds the garden, so soil volumes, drainage and irrigation are all set up to support it.
